E-Sign Your Application Documents

You will need to sign a new Promissory Note for Certified Private Loans – A legal contract that requires the borrower to repay a loan. The Promissory Note must be signed with each new loan. and complete a new Self-Certification Form for Certified Private Loans – informs borrowers of the cost of attendance, estimated financial assistance, and potential debt burden. for each loan application.

If your loan application includes a cosigner, we also need a new, signed Cosigner Addendum.

Sign Your Promissory Note and Self-Certification Form

Log In to your account to e-sign or print your Promissory Note for Certified Private Loans – A legal contract that requires the borrower to repay a loan. E-sign Instructions

• On the Account Summary screen, click the date in the Received Date column for your application
• On the Application Detail screen, click the links to e-sign your Promissory Note and Self-Certification Form

Mail Instructions

• On the Account Summary screen, click the date in the Received Date column for your application
• On the Application Detail screen, click the links to download a pre-populated Promissory Note and Self-Certification Form
• The Promissory Note contains your Social Security number, so keep it in a safe place
• Print a copy of your Promissory Note and Self-Certification Form
• Check that all information is correct and complete
• Sign it with a black or blue pen

Add a Cosigner

• A cosigner is required for some applicants and optional for others

School Certification

After we receive your signed Promissory Note and Self-Certification Form, we will contact your financial aid office to request certification. Your school will:

• Confirm your loan eligibility
• Confirm the loan amount
• Schedule dates and amounts of each disbursement

Accept the Loan Terms

• We will provide an Approval Disclosure with terms of your loan
• To accept the terms by phone, call 1-877-728-3030 OR
• To accept the terms online, log In to your account
• On the Account Summary screen, click the date in the Received Date column for your application
• On the Loan Detail screen, click the link to view the Approval Disclosure
• On the second page of the Approval Disclosure, click the button "I accept the loan"
